One of the nicer things about it is that to close it, you kick it a bit with your right foot and drop it down with a handle that you can then use to put it in the trunk or carry. There's also a shoulder strap, but I've found I like the handle. I'm not sure if the newer Maclarens have that, but my older ones don't. In other words, it doesn't seem that heavy. For really light ones, look into Uppababy and Maclaren, but it was more important for me to have a good hood and basket... although, I think the Maclaren Techno XLR is better at those, albeit bigger.
