How we got our Жопа!

Sounds a little more complicated than our adoption in Virginia. I think you should try to visit a municipal shelter instead - like a county shelter? Here is their current listing of cats. But definitely don't buy them at Pet Smart or other stores!

Our process was: we found 2 cats we liked on the website based on our parameters - female, about 6 months old, short-haired. We went to the shelter to meet them and found out that the gray one had a waiting list but the black one was available. We got to spend a little time with her in a room with an attendant. She was born in the wild but really friendly. Then we filled out paperwork and paid the adoption fee. We picked her up several days after she'd been spayed and we also got a certificate to take her to the local vet for free to get her shots and checkup. She had a respiratory infection from the shelter, but they gave us meds and she was cured within a week.
